Panasonic KX-TS600B Integrated Corded Telephone System Review

This phone had everything I wanted -- speakerphone, a headset connector, and call waiting/caller ID. Oddly enough this is a really unusual combination to find if you DON'T want an answering machine, or an AT&T model which only comes in white (at least when I was looking). The headset has a good heft, and the phone works well. Although there are two things which do bug me a bit: the phone is a bit light on the desk and the feet don't have very good grip, so as one other reviewer mentioned, it does slide around a bit if you inadvertently pull on the handset cord. Second, the caller ID screen is hard to read unless you're in a VERY bright room, and/or reading the display from directly above. If these two items were rectified, it would be five-stars all-the-way!

P3 P5080 Telephone Recorder Review

I just bought this item. The product itself is a piece of junk.
The Rec and Play buttons won't stay down to do their job. Or, they stay down for 5 seconds then pop back up so it is completely unusable. I plugged it into a phone jack and now because it didn't work right, I have to call the phone company and get them to check my line for new line noise that really disturbs conversations. I'm going to just throw it in the trash and NEVER buy this manufacturer's products again. The vendor did their job very well but the product itself not only can't be used but disturbs your phone line and also I had to replace an electrical outlet. Do Not Waste your Money and do not even get this if it was free; it is not worth damaging your phone and electric circuit. Sorry I had to give it one star..would have preferred to give it a zero.

Panasonic DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Telephone with 3 Handsets (KX-TG6413T) Review

I wanted a phone with no answering feature, which this lacks. Call quality is good, but to do the simplest thing, like change the ringer volume or look at missed calls, requires scrolling through menus to reach what you want to do.

Also, it does not always recognize there is a voice mail from my phone service provider.

The screen is large, but so are the pixels they use. Looks a bit jagged. And the caller ID shows less characters than my Uniden did even though that one has a smaller screen.

The light on top, which shows a voice mail waiting, is also lit when charging-confusing even though voice mail blinks and charge is steady. And it's way too small and blinks too slowly.

The ringer tone selection is meager and the ones available are not very pleasing.

This one is going back. It seems like they just went through the motions when designing this phone.

Wireless Headset W Adapter for Cordless Telephones Review

I have had this headset for about 3 months now. I initially went with the BlueParrot bluetooth headset to save some money but was unsatisfied and returned it.
This unit is not cheap but it works perfectly for me. I have DSL on the same line this headset is on, and even with a DSL filter I have had sound quality issues with various cordless phones I have used. This headset is essentially a phone with no dial pad. Sound quality and range are excellent. The volume can be controlled well and it gets loud enough, an issue I have had with other headsets. No interference with my wireless internet set up.
Other folks have commented on the "beeps" when the phone is muted. I personally consider this a very good feature. Because the headset is wireless there is no easy way to tell if you are muted when away from the base. (You can't look for a blinking light.)The beeps are very faint and I personally do not find them distracting at all, although others have commented that they do.
The unit comes with multiple options to attach to your ear or with a headband. I had to experiment with these for a few days before I found one that worked. After the first day my ear was a little sore but after I used it for several days it felt like a perfect fit.
All in all I am very happy with this unit.

Walker W1000 Clarity High-Frequency Enhancing Telephone Review

I purchased the Clarity w1000 to overcome the noise from a room air conditioner. It usually worked adequately for this task. However, sometimes or perhaps often a little more volume would have been useful. On my phone line, increased volume quickly turns into quite a bit of noise and hiss. This is more annoying than straining to hear the caller. My Panasonic KX-TG 5421 cordless phone with voice enhancer turns out to work better than the w1000. I probably should have returned the w1000.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Silver Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG1031S) Review

I already own a Panasonic. So, when my mother needed a a new phone, this is the one I got her. She loves it. What I like about this model is that the number buttons seem to be bigger. Which is a great help for her to see them.

After looking at other phones, and now owning two Panasonic's I would not buy any other brand.

AT&T DECT 6.0 Black/Silver Digital 3-Handset Cordless Telephone (CL81309) Review

Finally a phone that works and isn't a P.O.S. I had an expensive Panasonic ($125) single cordless phone with no answering machine. Can't hear anything on the Panasonic phone and they said it needs to be unplugged and plugged in when it does this - to reboot it. Needed to be rebooted a few times a day - now it's in the garbage where it belongs. We also had Uniden phones (5 of them) - all very poor quality and noisy with poor range.

This AT&T phone has a great range with excellent sound. No noise! Easy to program. Only need to program one phone - all the handsets will then see your directory entries. No need to program each separately. These were so great that I bought a 3 phone expansion pack: 3 more handsets. I also bout a great headset that works on the DECT 6.0 1.9GHz instead of bluetooth. That means it has great range.

We have AT&T voicemail - so we didn't need or want an answering machine. A Voicemail button would have been nice, but we just put it in as an entry in the directory.

Another big plus is the ability to talk on multiple handsets at the same time. My other cordless phones couldn't do this (just one conversation between the base and one handset at a time). Now I can pick up the phone and when it's for someone else - they can pick it up before I hang up. And we can both talk to someone on two handsets at the same time. I think it supports 4 handsets simultaneously...

here's the headset that works with this:

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Titanium Black Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG6445T) Review

This phone set more than exceeds my expectations and I would highly recommend it to others. The price was reasonable and I have not had any problems with the answering machine or the handsets.

It is so nice to be able to locate a handset and its base unit in a room without regard to whether or not there is a phone jack nearby. All you need is an electrical outlet to plug in the base unit.

One very nice feature is the ability to block any telemarketing calls. As soon as I get one of these calls, I add the number to the list of blocked callers. Next time they call, the phone rings once before the call is ended. It would have been nice to have not received even one ring, but this is a minor point.

Another helpful feature is the ability to designate a number in your phone list to ring with a distinctive tone. There are several choices you can select from. So, for example, you could designate a particular ring just for family members. Or, give different people different ring tones. Additionally, phone calls from numbers in your phone list will display with the person's name on the handsets.

All-in-all, I don't see how you can go wrong with this phone set.

Panasonic KX-TS620W Integrated Corded Telephone with All-Digital Answering System Review

This digital answering machine, speaker phone is pricey for a one line phone. The phone and answering machine work fine and the sound quality is very good. BUT! I'm disappointed that the LED Display is practically unreadable and should light up so you can see the time or information. Also, there is no battery back-up in case of a power outage.
The value just isn't there, for the amount of money paid, or a high recommendation.

Panasonic KX-TS600W Integrated Corded Telephone System Review

I got this phone for an elderly friend of mine. You should always have at least one wired phone installed in your home. It's so hard these days to even find one in the nearby stores. Everything is cordless....well, if your power goes out, so does your cordless phones. This will leave you totally cut-off from the outside world. And, for an elderly person with no cellphone, this is very dangerous! I recommend the Panasonic. I had one very similar to this model years ago and loved it. I'd still have it if my children hadn't spilled soda all over it!

The Plantronics S11 corded headset is a real Godsend for a job that requires heavy phone usage. Gives you the ability to use both hands, and the sound is very clear. AT&T DECT 6.0 Black/Silver Digital Dual Handset Cordless Telephone (CL81209) Review

Got this AT&T unit to work with a Vonage internet phone system. The prior phones, V-tech, died a slow death, after about 3 years. When I called V-Tech service, the customer service computer told me to press "1" if I owned my phone for less than 6 months, press "2" for 6 months to 1 year, press "3" for 1 to 2 years and, finally press "4" for over 2 years. I pressed "4" and then the voice instantly said, "good-bye" and hung up on me! So I swore off V-tech.

This ATT phone is not heavy, but still has reasonable heft. Oddly enough, I chose this model as it has so few features, since the Vonage internet device (VDV21/ Router) already provides voicemail, call logging, call waiting, etc. The two replacement batteries for the old V-tech phones cost $32 for the 2, so this 2-phone set for $49 seems a great deal.

When I spoke to the Vonage rep about the new router, I thought she said I could only use just one corded phone, but I guess she meant one line. There is space on the router for a second phone line, but I am only paying for one. This 2 phone system is up an working fine. It takes 16 hours to charge the batteries on the phones to full power, so I would recommend setting it up late at night to give them enough time to charge.

Also worth noting, the phones don't mess up my wireless internet. I was told some older cordless phones might interfere with those signals.

Panasonic KX-TS500W Corded Telephone Review

This phone is simple to set up, and simple to use, because it's got no bells and whistles.

The only things that make me give it 4 stars are

1 - the dents where you place the headset are a bit shallow and a bit tight.

If they had been deeper and looser, it would make it a lot easier to hang up the phone. Since the dents are shallow and tight, you have to take care to place the headset correctly. An extra quarter inch gap between the sides of the headset and the walls of the dents would've made it so one can hang up without thinking about it.

2 - The cord is short.

I have a computer on my desk, and since I spend much more time on the computer than the phone, the phone goes on an adjacent table. I had to keep the cord from my old phone, as the cord that comes with this phone doesn't go out that far. Also, the phone is light (which is a good thing, mind you), so when the cord gets stretched, the phone starts getting pulled off the table. A cord that's a foot or two longer would've been great.

I do like how the buttons have a bit of gap between them. It looks a lot nicer than a scrunched-up keypad where the numbers are all right next to each other with no gap.

Overall, a nice phone.

Ameriphone HA40 In-Line Telephone Handset Amplifier Review

I bought this amplifier for my 92 yr old Mother to use on her standard old style corded phone. She removes her hearing aid to use it and she loves it. Now it is easier to talk to her on the phone, than it is in person with her hearing aid in. Another feature is that it is portable; you can take it on vacation and use in most all hotel rooms or other friends homes. The 9v battery lasts 4-6 months. Be gentle when changing the battery as the wires may pull loose from the from the battery connector, easily repairable. If you are reading this, Buy it!

Clarity Amplified Corded Big-Button Telephone with Clarity Power Technology (XL40) Review

I bought this for my mother. Works great in all regards. She has had it for about 3 weeks now. She doesn't say, 'what?' anymore. I feel this is due to the amplified handset. She loves the LOUD ringer too.
However, the push-button one-touch dialing is why I bought this for her. SHe just presses one button and the phone dials any one of up to ten pre-programmed numbers (all her kids) and then 911. Great Buy!!!

PLANTRONICS Walker Ameriphone Clarity C435 Cordless Telephone Review

After reading some of the reviews, we took a chance since the phone had the features we needed. After charging overnight, we tried using the phone and the first call was great. When we took it to another room the connection was gone & the phone started blinking. If you put it back on the base, picked it up & made a call immediately, everything was fine. If you took it from the base and tried to use it in a minute or so, it would not work. Called Clarity and they said the phone was not programmed to blink, we had a bad unit and to return it. Wish it had worked because this was for a Father's Day present and the features on the phone were exactly what we wanted. Returned the phone to Amazon - did not try a second one.

Panasonic DECT 6.0 2-Line Black Corded Cordless Telephone with Two Handsets (KX-TG9392T) Review

I need a 2 line phone and therefore do not have too many choices. It sounded like the DECT technology was indeed an upgrade...better battery life, no interference with other tech, etc. I've owned 3 panasonic cordless sets .I started a long time ago with 2.4 GHZ moved to 5.8 GHZ then switched to ATT phone (it was cheaper and I thought I would try something new.. bad idea it died in 1 year , 1 month!) So I decided I would go back to panasonic and try the latest.. well it was far from the greatest. I could not even get proper voice quility if I walked downstairs when the base unit was upstairs. I returned it and now I am probably going to try ot go back the 5.8GHZ. I would love to hear from others .. was my phone defective or is this the expericance others are having too?

Olympus TP-7 Telephone Recording Device Review

I had my doubts, not realizing how simple this little thing works. I attached it to my Sony ICD-UX71 digital recorder, stuck the earpiece in my ear and then made a phone call. I tested it while on the road in my car using my Palm Treo680 cell phone. It picked up the call from both ends remarkably well. I also got all the sounds from the car, but that may be a function of my Sony recorder, I don't know for sure. Either way, the microphone on this device is sensitive and works very well!

The earpiece felt a little awkward at first, but I soon got used to it and it did not cause discomfort. For those wondering how this ingenious little device works, the other side of the earpiece, the part that goes against the phone when you have it to your ear, is a microphone and picks up the sound from your phone receiver.

when listening to the playback of my recordings, I did NOT notice the caller's voice lower than mine, as another reviewer pointed out. However, you can tell it is a phone call and not a face to face discussion. Altough that could be a function of the phone equipment I was using as well (both from my end and the 2 people I called - both of them were talking to me from an iPhone3G).

I mention the recorder make/model and the cell phone make/models as the recording quality may have a lot to do with these factors.

I wanted this as a solution to use for doing phone interviews for a podcast that I work on. It's a great alternative to Skype and so very convenient!

I'd definitely recommend it.

AT&T SL82318 DECT 6.0 Digital Three Handset Answering System (Silver/Gray) Review

This phone has it ALL, and I am picky. Yes, the range is hands over fist over the 5.8 one we replaced. But it has all the "comfort" features I love: belt clip, a place for the headphone to go in; a mute feature so you can have a quick side conversation with someone in the room and the person you are talking to cannot hear it; intercom between handsets; and even an easy-to-use volume adjustment on the side of the phone (like on a cell phone) to adjust volume per caller. REALLY glad I read all the reviews and that's why I am leaving one - I had almost ordered another phone on amazon until I read those bad reviews and then kept looking and found so many positive comments about this phone. I concur! And one side note: I think it is a better looking phone set in person than in the picture.

ooma Core VoIP Phone System with No Monthly Phone Service Bills Review

This is a great product, as long as it works. I received the product last month, and had it running within 5 minutes. Everything worked great, and I thought Ooma was going to be a company everyone is familiar within 5 years from now. The call clarity was great, and my network speeds were barely affected. I began to tell everyone how well it worked.

About a week ago, the device just stopped picking up my connection off my cable modem. All I saw was the 4 top lights lit and the Ooma tab blinking red. I double-checked everything as anyone else would when trouble shooting a down device. I reset my cable modem, reset the Ooma box, and then reset the router... no luck. So I make sure my internet connection is working by removing Ooma and connecting my cable modem straight to my pc/router. Everything is up. I go into the setup.ooma.com page and see if the device is grabbing an address from my cable modem. It's not, so I put a static address on the Ooma box and attach it to my home router. I am able to ping everything else on my network, except the Ooma box. So the Ooma device is not grabbing a DHCP address and it is not working with a static address, and the connection is showing connected under the Modem port on the Ooma box physically and through the setup.ooma.com page. Everything else is fine on the box except that.

After going through this process, I setup everything back to how I had it initially, and I call up Ooma Tech Support. Wait about 5 or 10 minutes, and get a hold of Support. The wait was normal so I didn't mind. I tell the guy on the phone what is happening, and he immediately begins to rush me saying that a firewall on my router is blocking the Ooma box. I told him that's impossible because the Ooma box is connected directly to my modem, and not to my router. I told him the internet is up, and it isn't grabbing a DHCP address from my service provider, he asks if I restarted the modem and Ooma hub, and I told him I did. He says well if you did all that, then it's a firewall. I told him I did, and there is no firewall, and he tells me that's the only thing that can cause it to stop working. I asked him if there is a possibility the hub went bad, and he said no. I asked him again to make sure I heard this right, and he said "That's correct." I told him "So Ooma has developed the only infallible electronic device known to man?" He then tells me to restart the Ooma box and while I'm doing so the line disconnects.

I call back, and I get the same exact guy again. I pretend like I didn't know who I was talking to before and start the conversation again. He changes his tune this time. He actually begins to go through the trouble shooting steps as he should have the first time, and none of them are working because he is trying exactly what I was trying before. While he is on the phone, I guess he didn't know how to use his mute button for my line, because he was talking to another tech while he was talking to me. He was cursing and wondering why it wasn't working, and I kept recommending different things I can try while on the phone with him. Unexpectedly, the line disconnects again. Both times it showed up Call ended, and I have rarely ever been disconnected from my cell since I have been through tech support calls working with Cisco and HP for work.

I go on Amazon's website to make sure I can return the thing still since it looks like I am not getting anywhere the Ooma's perfect product that obviously has something wrong with it. Luckily Amazon makes it easy to return it, and I setup and ship the product out 20 minutes later. Glad I save all the boxes...

I work on a team that maintains a Fortune 200 company's network across multiple states. I trouble shoot network problems all day long, and I have a lot of patience. I never got mad, raised my voice, anything. They just couldn't support their product as they should have. There should be a standard operating procedure that tells a tech to setup a repair or replacement if all of their trouble shooting steps fails. I think that because the company does not generate a great amount of revenue after the initial sale that they definitely do not want to spend anymore on sending or replacing an item. Just my opinion and I'll make sure to put it out everywhere I can so all of you who do have the product, and can't return it, don't get the shaft either.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Dark Grey Cordless/Corded Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG1062M) Review

I was torn whether to rate this 4 or 5 stars. For my simple needs, it's definitely a 5, but it does have some quirks.

Good:

Great sound quality. Corded base for power outages. Speakerphone (which works great) on all components, both base and handsets. Access to answering system messages from all components. Functions as an intercom (and very well, too). 100-number phone book, which can be copied between units either in total or one entry at a time, and nine phone number groups that you can give custom names. Five-number quick dial buttons on base. Large, easy-to-use buttons. Uses rechargeable AA's (I *think* - might have been AAA's - standard batteries, anyway) instead of the expensive proprietary kind. Supports up to six handsets.

Not so good:

Some menus confusing. Direct-access to functions using "#" and a numeric code a joke, to me - I want to navigate to a function using an intuitive menu, not look up a code in the user manual. On base unit, LCD contrast is not high enough to read display without backlight (at least in the location we've got it). Does not have a memo function as our previous (but much lower quality) system did, so I'm in the market for a fridge magnet recorder thingie now - which is just fine by my husband, as he hated my leaving messages to myself on the answering machine....! ;-> ) Cannot copy phone number groups between units - if you use that function, you'd have to name the groups on each unit and put each phone number in a group individually.

The reason I gave it a "5" nevertheless is that the "not so good" things I listed mean virtually nothing to me for my simple needs, especially when bounced against the "good" things, which *do* mean a lot to me. Your mileage may vary, which is why I tried to list everything I've noticed about the unit so far.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Titanium Digital Cordless Answering System - Dual Handset System (KX-TG9332T) Review

I bought this phone to replace my uniden phones. What an upgrade. The sound quality on this system is awesome. The range is also great. I have the base unit upstairs and the second handset unit downstairs. You can't even tell that they are that far apart. The sound is terrific. I also still get great sound when operating the microwave at the same time as talking on the phone.

I also really like how there is speakerphone on the handset. Very convenient. The answering system is also very good. The only draw back there is it doesn't display how many messages you have. However, you can call from an outside phone to get your messages as well. A nice feature for those of us who travel.

There are so many advantageous bells and whistles on this model. I wouldn't buy any other phone. For the price you cannot beat this phone. It is all you will need and more!

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - 4 Handset System (KX-TG9344T) Review

I use these phones for my hair salon.. I have 4 booths . And it works great for each person to have there own.. When the phone rings the caller id tells us who it is and therefore the callers hairdresser answers it.. Otherwise it was alway ME! and I am too busy for such shenanigans... This has saved me from time away from my clients.. The phones themselves are great and each one can listen to the answering machine on their own phone.
They are easy to use and easy to set up. It was a great purchase for some one in my situation.I think it can do alot more than I am describing but really this is all I need them for..

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Dark Grey Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG6433M) Review

The caller ID talks. Yes, I know I can turn it off, but where's the fun in that? "Call from Flor-ID-ah." Now let me see, is that my brother or those folks who are worried that my car warranty might have expired without my noticing it. The phone is much better, actually once I learned to speak Panasonic. I put a ringer code on my brother's number and solved that problem. The missus likes the 30 slots for numbers to block, and so do I, but I suspect that 30 will be a mere drop in the bucket. On the other hand, it blocks ALL those "unknown name...unknown number" calls. Overall, a good unit, easy to install and easy to use. Reasonably priced. No need to spend the the extra 10$ for buttons on the base unit, as you'll probably never use it to make calls. You'll like it, especially if you can speak Panasonic.

This is a very cheap feeling, and costing, basic telephone. It does not appear to support a basic older style telephone headset that does work with other telephones without issues. V-Tech CS5111 5.8GHz Cordless Phone with Caller ID (Silver/Black) Review

I was looking for a simple portable phone to put on the desk in my den, without all the bells and whistles...reasonably priced...in a slim line design, not wanting it to take up too much room. Haven't had it all that long, but it works just fine. No problems with it. I like the sleek look, better choice of color design. It sits in a silver base and is attractive as well as having good voice and range quality. The price was right. I would recommend this product, and I find I have good luck with Vtech products.

AT&T 993 Corded 2-Line Speakerphone Review

Not much to add here to what others have said. I am like the person who wanted a corded phone with both speakerphone and headset capabilities for my home office. I am a technical trainer who does most of my assignments from home over the internet. It is common to get a call and have to look up some technical documents or check a software feature. These calls can last 15-30 minutes so the headset capability was my main goal. And this phone delivers...almost. That is, the headset feature works, but the sound comes through with lower-than-normal voices. Even at max volume on my headset, it is barely enough. But, for the price and feature set, this phone is great in other respects.

Panasonic KX-TS620B Integrated Corded Telephone with All-Digital Answering System Review

This replaced a GE business phone purchased more than 10 years ago which answering (tape) system broke. I should have fixed the problem instead of buying this sad excuse for a phone.

Compared to the old GE phone, the voice quality is very poor. While the voice through the GE phone was clear and sharp, the voice produced by this one is somewhat muffled and often hard to hear. The major flaw with the Panasonic phone, however, is the answering machine. The quality of the recorded messages sometimes is so bad that they are indecipherable. That is simply unacceptable.

The last gripe is perhaps peculiar to my (bad?) personality as I derive not a small measure of satisfaction from slamming the phone down on telemarketers. This requires a solid handset and a heavy and substantial body to absorb the violence. Let me tell you, there is absolutely nothing substantial about this flimsy and pathetic product.

This phone will be on its way to telephone hell in hundred little pieces in the very near future.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 4 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1034S) Review

Love the phones other than when my wife and I both try to both talk to someone like a relative. Whoever picks up the phone first, great, the second person that picks up another phone, after about 1 - 2 minutes, the second phone just starts beeping and you can no longer hear any conversation. Then you have to turn the phone off, and back on again, and you can talk for another minute or two, then more constant beeping. Turn it off again. The batteries are good, fully charged, and the base, is about 20 feet away, no further than the other phone that's in use.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series Cordless Phone System Accessory Handset with Charger (KX-TGA101S) Review

Phones and I usually don't get along well. They fall off the wall, the cord pulls the coffee pot off the counter top. This one doesn't do any of that, it just works like a phone should. The ringer is loud enough so you can find out which cushion it's hiding under. I liked is so well, I bought four of them. My son liked it so well he bought a set for his house. The only complaint would be the range. It seems to become unreliable outside, beyond 150 feet and two stories down from the transmitter. So I just use it at home.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - 3 Handset System (KX-TG9333T) Review

The set has been excellent except:
1. The handsets appear to have no idea what the charge is on the batteries. Funky power behavior has been noted by other reviewers. Some time on a charging base usually solves that problem; I suggest the folks leave them there when not in use.
2. Low volume when using headset. (This has also been noted by others.)
3. Slightly difficult to use cover for headset plug.
4. No apparent way to turn off talking caller ID. (I don't have caller ID, so this isn't a problem for me.)
5. No apparent way to turn off ringer on base unit.

I purchased one of the refurbished units from a third party, and, at that price, these issues are easy to overlook for a unit which is otherwise great.

Panasonic KX-TCA60 Hands-Free Headset with Comfort Fit Headband Review

I like this headset. It lets me talk and listen without the disadvantages of using the speakerphone option on my phone. My only complaint is that the headband is a bit tight. I suppose a hair dryer and a little exercise could help with this. No, I don't have a large head. Mine is size 7 so if it's tight on me it'll be tight on most everybody.

AT&T 210 Trimline Phone with Memory Dialing (Black) Review

The troubles with cell phones not working after the terrorist attacks in 2001 and the power blackout in 2003 made clear the advantage of a corded land-line telephone in emergencies. There have also been repeated problems with expensive combination telephone/answering machines where one stops working so the whole thing has to be replaced. The frequent and annoying static on various cordless telephones was the last straw so I ordered this telephone over four years ago and have really enjoyed using it.

The backlit dial pad is nice and the easy access to controls for ring and handset volume is great. I don't use the memory dial or emergency buttons but they could be useful if someone has trouble dialing numbers or uses a calling card for long distance. You don't need any instructions to use the basic features, just plug it in, lift off the base and dial, which is a nice change from fancy electronics that take an hour to set up. The handset itself is well-balanced and feels substantial in the hand without being too heavy. The buttons have the right amount of "give".

Overall, this is a nice little telephone, simple and reliable.

A great accessory is this little thing-a-ma-jig that keeps the cord from getting tangled: AT&T 91078 Cord Detangler - 3 Pack (Clear)

Panasonic Integrated Business Phone (KX-TS105B) Review

This is a good basic phone. If you need a phone to have on hand for when the power goes out, you can count on this one.

The real reason I purchased this phone was because of the name (I'm a huge Panasonic fan when it comes to phones -- I rarely buy anything else), and because of the price (cheap) and the headset jack. I purchased this to replace the old phone in the sound room at church. When people are ill but would like to get patched through to hear the services over the phone (those without internet) I thought it would be nice to see if we could patch the signal straight into this phone and over the lines through the headset jack.

I record audio presentations for work all the time -- using some more expensive Panasonic wireless phones with headset jacks, so I thought this would be similar. Unfortunately, nothing I've plugged into that phone headset jack (other than a real headset) seems to work. I'm not sure why, especially since the other Panasonic phones I have work with my existing setup... but I'll keep looking.

So, while using the headset jack (which was a deciding factor on the purchase of this unit) was a total bust, the phone itself is really great and delivers on everything else promised.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 3 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1033S) Review

I bought this product because someone raved that the charge lasted a long time. I bought the system only 2 weeks ago and the phones get discharged after a couple of phone calls ( not eve a couple of hours). So I keep moving the hand set so that I have the properly charged one always available. When you buy this stuff online it is so difficult to deal with returns and it only adds to the cost by having to pay to ship it back.
